Kemampuan tarung Tie kembali diuji saat menghadapi lawan-lawannya, antara lain Penjaga Raja Seragam Emas (Supakorn Kijusuwan), para pembunuh berbaju hitam dan Bhuti Shangka (Dan Chupong), sang ‘hantu gagak’ di film kedua.

Sebelum Tien sempat dijual sebagai budak, seorang pria bernama Chernang yang kemudian menculik Tien. Chernang kemudian mengajarkan bermacam jenis bela diri pada Tien. Bertahun kemudian, Tien yang menguasai berbagai macam bela diri kemudian diangkat sebagai ketua kelompok yang sebelumnya dipimpin oleh Chernang.

Suatu ketika, secara tak sengaja, Tien melihat sebuah pengumuman bahwa Lord Rajsena sedang mencari petarung terbaik untuk menjadi pengawalnya. Tien dengan mudah dapat melewati ujian ini dan berhasil menjadi orang kepercayaan Lord Rajsena. Kini Tien punya kesempatan untuk membalas dendam kematian kedua orang tuanya. Namun bila tak hati-hati maka nyawa Tien sendiri yang akan menjadi korban.

Sebenarnya tak banyak yang dijanjikan oleh film yang disutradarai oleh Tony Jaa ini. Ide cerita masih seputar heroisme ala film-film Shaw Brothers bahkan nyaris tanpa sentuhan apapun. Malah bisa dibilang ide cerita film ini tak jauh dari cerita drama televisi yang hanya menjual ‘emosi’ pada penonton tanpa ada kedalaman cerita atau karakter. Artinya, penonton akan ‘dipaksa’ untuk mencintai sang tokoh protagonis dan membenci tokoh antagonis dengan berbekal alasan-alasan klasik.

Sebenarnya tak ada yang salah dengan ide cerita ini selama dari sisi visual masih ada yang mengimbanginya. Beberapa film laga juga mengusung ide cerita yang kurang lebih sama namun mereka berhasil tampil dengan baik karena koreografi tarung yang fresh, special effect yang memukau atau permainan sudut pengambilan gambar yang baik. Sayangnya, itu semua tak ada dalam film yang satu ini.

Sudut pengambilan gambar terasa datar dan bahkan editing terasa terpotong-potong sehingga alur dari satu adegan ke adegan yang lain terasa tersendat-sendat. Akibatnya, jalan cerita yang memang kurang kokoh jadi terasa makin lemah. Apa lagi karakter masing-masing pemerannya juga tak terlalu dalam sehingga kesan artifisial sangat terasa sekali.

Koreografi tarung yang diharap mampu menjadi sebuah suguhan yang memuaskan pun gagal menjadi daya tarik. Pengambilan gambar dari jarak jauh sementara beberapa pemeran tampak sedang ‘menunggu giliran’ bertarung malah semakin memperburuk performa film ini. Sebenarnya dengan editing yang baik dikombinasi dengan pengambilan gambar dari jarak dekat akan sedikit menolong koreografi tarung film ini. Tentunya itu membutuhkan seorang sutradara yang cukup jeli.

Singkatnya, film ini gagal menyajikan sebuah tontonan yang benar-benar bisa dinikmati dan meski ending film dibuat ‘terbuka’, tak ada rasa penasaran yang cukup kuat untuk menonton kelanjutan dari film yang sebenarnya adalah prekuel dari film berjudul ONG BAK ini.

Before Tien could be sold as a slave, a man named Chernang who later kidnapped Tien. Chernang then teach various types of martial arts at Tien. Years later, Tien who mastered a variety of martial arts was later appointed as chairman of the group formerly led by Chernang.

Once, by accident, Tien saw an announcement that Lord Rajsena’re looking for the best fighter to become bodyguards. Tien can easily and successfully pass this exam to be the belief of Lord Rajsena. Tien now have a chance to avenge the death of both parents. But if not careful then Tien own lives that will be a victim.

Actually, not much was promised by the film was directed by Tony Jaa. Story ideas are still around heroism a la Shaw Brothers films almost without touching. In fact the idea of this film’s story is not far from the story that sells only television drama ‘emotion’ to the audience without any depth of story or characters. That is, the audience will be ‘forced’ to love the protagonist and antagonist hate armed with the classic reasons.

Actually there is nothing wrong with this story ideas for the visual side there is a counterbalance. Some also carried the idea of an action movie more or less the same story but they managed to perform well because of fresh fighting choreography, stunning special effects or games good shooting angle. Unfortunately, that’s all there in this one movie.

Shooting angle was flat and even the editing was choppy, so the flow from one scene to another scene that was faltering. As a result, the storyline is less robust so that it feels increasingly weak. What else each character cast and not too deep that is felt once the artificial impression.

Fight choreography is supposed to be a satisfying treat any failure become an attraction. Shooting from a distance while a few actors seemed to be ‘waiting’ to fight even worsen the performance of this film. Actually, with good editing combined with shots from close range will slightly help the fight choreography of this film. Obviously it needed a director who is observant.

In short, this film fails to present a spectacle that truly can be enjoyed and although the ending made the movie ‘open’, no sense of curiosity is strong enough to watch the continuation of the film is actually a prequel of this movie called Ong BAK.

Kitaro (Eiji Wentz) dan teman-Yokai Nya menyelidiki kasus-kasus aneh ketika mereka bertemu Kaede Hiramoto (Kie Kitano), seorang gadis SMA yang menemukan dirinya terlibat dalam misteri ini. Dalam pencarian mereka untuk instrumen kuno, Kitaro dan teman-temannya berangkat tiga titik berbeda yang mana ditunjukkan pada sebuah peta kuno. Kitaro dan perjalanan Kaede untuk “langit”, gunung suci di Hakone; Cat-gadis (Lena Tanaka) dan Ratman (Yo Oizumi) pergi ke “tanah”, Mt. Takao, dan Pasir penyihir (Shigeru Muroi) dan Old Baby Cry (Kanpei Hazama) kepala ke laut “” di lepas pantai Semenanjung Miura.

Ketika Kaede belajar dari nasibnya sebagai target Kutukan Millenium, ia menjadi kehilangan putus asa. Dia mulai meragukan Kitaro meskipun dia berada di sisinya.

Sementara itu, Pasir Penyihir memenuhi Air Well Pertapa (Takashi Sasano), sebuah Yokai tua yang bijak, yang mengungkapkan kutukan itu mulai milenium yang lalu ketika putri duyung itu disebut Encer penyihir (Shinobu Terajima) jatuh cinta dan menikah dengan seorang Umihito bernama manusia (Masato Hagiwara) . Para pecinta bernasib sial ditangkap oleh penduduk desa yang tidak setuju dengan perkawinan mereka non-tradisional. Sebagai Kitaro dan perjuangan Kaede atas penderitaan mereka, mereka diserang oleh Yasha (Jadi Ji-sub), seorang pembunuh Yokai dari negeri asing. Dan mengamati dari bayang-bayang adalah Nurari (akhir Ken Ogata), pemimpin kuat dan seram dari kelompok Yokai jahat yang terdiri dari Yasha, Serpent Witch (Shiro Sano), dan Encer penyihir. Yokai rencana ini untuk memusnahkan semua manusia.

Nurari berteriak, “Semua dosa-dosa yang telah dilakukan manusia telah menyebabkan begitu banyak kesedihan, begitu banyak kebencian, dendam begitu banyak. Kitaro, tidak bisa Anda diam memekakkan telinga mendengar kesedihan mereka? Dunia di tepi binasa selamanya jika kita membiarkan manusia terus aturan! Bergabung dengan kami, Kitaro! ”

Sebagai Kitaro berperang melawan musuh-musuh, ia juga upah konflik internal atas identitasnya sebagai manusia dan Yokai. Syly, Nurari lebih emosional siksaan musuhnya dengan mengungkapkan rahasia tentang Kitaro dan suku yang hilang. Pisau gelap Yasha beraksi lagi, dan lagi …

Kitaro akan dapat mengatasi takdir dan menghancurkan lingkaran setan antara manusia dan Yokai, bebas Encer Penyihir dari kutukan nya, melindungi Kaede dan manusia dari Yokai jahat, dan akhirnya membawa cinta dan perdamaian ke dunia?

Kitaro (Eiji Wentz) and his yokai friends investigate these bizarre cases when they meet Kaede Hiramoto (Kie Kitano), a high school girl who finds herself involved in this mystery. With help from the librarian of the Yokai Library, they find out that the curse was caused by an “evil” yokai that was released from 1,000 years of imprisonment. To save Kaede, they must gather five ancient musical instruments and perform the ritual to seal the evil yokai once again… and this has to be done within 48 hours!

In their search for the ancient instruments, Kitaro and his buddies depart for three different points that where indicated on an ancient map. Kitaro and Kaede travel to “sky”, the sacred mountain in Hakone; Cat-girl (Lena Tanaka) and Ratman (Yo Oizumi) go to “land”, Mt. Takao; and Sand Witch (Shigeru Muroi) and Old Cry Baby (Kanpei Hazama) head to the “ocean” off the coast of Miura Peninsula.

When Kaede learns of her fate as a target of the Millennium Curse, she becomes lost in despair. She begins to doubt Kitaro even though he is on her side.

Meanwhile, Sand Witch meets the Water Well Hermit (Takashi Sasano), a wise old yokai, who reveals the curse began a millennium ago when the mermaid called Watery Witch (Shinobu Terajima) fell in love and married a human named Umihito (Masato Hagiwara). The star-crossed lovers were captured by villagers who disapproved of their non-traditional marriage. The villagers summoned a group of demon-slaying monks called the Black Sorcerers, who used their magic to entrap Watery Witch and separate the couple forever.

Upon learning the truth, Kitaro and Kaede suffer over the gulf between mankind and yokai. Kaede had initially blamed the yokai for the curse that threatens her life, but in fact the evil began with humans… including her own ancestor, one of the Black Sorcerers.

As Kitaro and Kaede struggle over their plight, they are attacked by Yasha (So Ji-sub), a yokai assassin from a foreign land. And observing from the shadows is Nurari (the late Ken Ogata), the powerful and sinister ringleader of an evil yokai group consisting of Yasha, Serpent Witch (Shiro Sano), and Watery Witch. These yokai plan to exterminate all of mankind.

Nurari screams, “All the sins that mortals have committed have caused so much sorrow, so much hatred, so many grudges. Kitaro, can’t you hear the deafening silence of their grief? The world is on the edge of perishing forever if we let humans continue to rule! Join us, Kitaro!”

As Kitaro fights against these enemies, he also wages an internal conflict over his identity as both human and yokai. Syly, Nurari further emotionally torments his foe by revealing a secret about Kitaro and his lost tribe. The dark blade of Yasha strikes again, and again…

Will Kitaro be able to overcome his destiny and shatter the vicious cycle between humans and yokai, free Watery Witch from her curse, protect Kaede and mankind from the evil yokai, and finally bring love and peace to the world?

Meanwhile, a police-escorted prisoner transport supervised by Interpol sets off from Vršac to Belgrade. On Interpol’s request, transport is joined by an experienced detective Dragan Vukovic, who decided to transfer to a desk job in Belgrade after his wife died. A seemingly routine assignment escalates into a hellish fight for survival.

The route leads the transport through Pancevo, where they encounter an ecological disaster and infected people who are trying to kill them. Detective Vukovic and the Interpol agents soon realize that their only chance for escape from the infected hordes lies in allying with the dangerous, mysterious prisoner. The escape from Pancevo becomes their common goal. While the evil runs through the streets, they must survive in hope that they will be able to avoid the impending apocalypse.
